Films On Demand is a web-based digital video delivery service for streaming educational video content from Films Media Group. This collection currently includes more than 6,100 complete titles and 63,000 individual segments which may be viewed by Mercer (Atlanta) students, staff, and faculty any time, on or off campus. Users of this resource can view entire programs or pre-defined segments of longer videos; they can create personal playlists to organize full-length videos and segments for a classroom presentation. Users can search for video content by keyword, subject, producer, or educational standards; users can also browse this video library by subject categories. Faculty can create URL links to the videos within their course management systems such as Blackboard or LiveText. Beyond the considerable academic value of this video content lies the potential for people to satisfy their curiosity about thousands of people, events, and ideas.
